Alumni Class of 2025
School of Business and Management

The MBA programme at 91心頭利 Academy appealed to me for its practical focus and its ability to connect academic learning with real workplace applications. As someone in a leadership role within the social service sector, I wanted to build on my professional experience by gaining a stronger and broader understanding of how organisations function as a whole, beyond my core legal and compliance responsibilities. Strengthening my strategic thinking in areas such as governance, operations, and long-term planning felt not only important, but necessary for the next stage of my career.

In my current role, I oversee legal, compliance, and corporate secretariat functions, including governance, policy development, regulatory compliance, and Board support. The MBA has helped strengthen my strategic thinking and decision-making, allowing me to contribute more effectively to areas such as organisational development, digital transformation, and long-term planning.

My experience at 91心頭利 Academy has been both engaging and intellectually rewarding. The lecturers bring concepts to life with real industry insights, keeping the learning highly relevant to today's business environment. Equally valuable has been the opportunity to learn alongside classmates from diverse industries, the discussions have consistently broadened my perspective and challenged my thinking beyond my own field.

Applying strategic frameworks such as SWOT and TOWS analysis has been a standout part of the programme. Beyond the academic context, these tools have given me a more structured lens through which to assess challenges and opportunities, and I have found them directly applicable to my organisation, particularly in strengthening our approach to planning and decision making.

Balancing full-time work with postgraduate study was a rewarding challenge that pushed me to grow both professionally and personally. It encouraged a more disciplined approach to time management — breaking tasks into manageable steps and focusing on genuine understanding over simply getting through the material. Connecting the learning to real situations at work made the experience meaningful and reinforced my motivation throughout the programme.

To those considering this programme, approach it with an open mind. The true value of an MBA extends beyond the qualification— it lies in how actively you engage with the content, your peers, and the world around you. Embrace the discussions, learn from those with different experiences, and make a habit of connecting theory to your everyday professional reality. That is where the real growth happens.
